Soho Physiotherapy was founded in 1997 on a simple motto: creative solutions to musculoskeletal problems. Twenty-eight years and roughly 160,000 patients later, that idea still runs the practice. Modern life builds muscle imbalances that put unnecessary strain through the body, and over time that turns into pain at your desk or an injury when you train. Taking the pain away for a fortnight was never the point, so we pair hands-on treatment with the exercises that rebuild the strength behind it. Today we have 6 central London clinics, in Soho, Liverpool Street, Devonshire Row in the City, Regent Street, Marylebone and Canary Wharf, staffed by HCPC-registered physiotherapists who are all members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and led by Simon Purton. Whether it is back pain, a sports injury, women's health or getting you back on your feet after an operation, the job is the same: find the cause and fix it.

We accept most major UK private medical insurers, including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna, Nuffield Health and WPA. Insurers usually want you to get authorisation before your first appointment, so please sort that out with them first. If you are paying for yourself you can book directly, with no GP referral, and we will give you an itemised receipt for every session that you can claim back if your policy covers physiotherapy. If you are not sure where you stand, ask your insurer two things: does my policy cover physiotherapy, and do you need a GP referral or pre-authorisation.

You do not need a letter from your GP to see us. You can book yourself in directly at any of our six clinics. We also welcome referrals from GPs, consultants and surgeons, and we are happy to pick someone up part-way through, after a scan, an operation or a specialist appointment. With your permission we will keep in touch with the rest of your care team and share what we find and how your rehab is going, so nothing falls between the cracks.
